I went from a freaking G900 to a G903 and the old software, which worked perfectly without any issues and in fact was so inconspicuous I'd forgotten it was there, didn't support the new mouse. I can also hold down the g- shift button with either of the other two buttons (shift and control) to do other action bar buttons. I installed it because I 'had to' to support a mouse upgrade. So pretty much my thumb is the action bar buttons 1 - 0. When I hit the g- shift button it switches my mouse's finger key mapping to numbers 1 - 0 on the keyboard. + on the keyboard, then shift 1 - +, ctrl 1 - +, and alt 1 - +. But I have those keys linked to key mapping in WoW to do spells/whatever on the action bars, i.e. Now that I'm using the g-shift I have 20 programmable buttons instead of 11. The thumb buttons I use to only perform shift, ctrl, and g-shift (previously was alt).
3 on there thumb, and three in the wheel. My mouse is the G502, and it has 11 buttons overall. And I guess I should say this now, is that I think I know what your trying to say and I dont think you need a macro.
So I've made a couple of setups using everything on g hub and I'm just stating to use macros nothing with sharing yet, but this has been my favorite setup so far.
